These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by MilouPaw Pet Care ("MilouPaw", "we", "us", "our"). By booking a service, submitting our contact form, or using this website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
MilouPaw offers crate-free dog boarding, doggy daycare, cat and small pet in-home visits, dog walking, pet sitting, and pet taxi service in Walnut Creek, California and the surrounding East Bay area. All services are provided by Sanaz "Sunny" Hemmati or trained caregivers under her supervision.
2. Booking & Meet-and-Greet
We require a free meet-and-greet for new clients before the first overnight stay or daycare booking. Bookings are confirmed by written agreement (text or email). Holiday periods and peak weeks should be booked 4–6 weeks in advance.
3. Pet Health & Behavior
- All dogs and cats must be current on age-appropriate vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP for dogs; Rabies, FVRCP for cats).
- Dogs must be spayed or neutered if over 6 months old, or arrangements made for separate care.
- You must disclose any aggression, biting history, allergies, chronic medical conditions, or medications at booking. Failure to disclose may result in immediate termination of service without refund.
- We reserve the right to refuse or end service if a pet poses a risk to other animals or people.
4. Payment
Payment is due at drop-off or upon completion of service, depending on the service type. We accept Venmo, Zelle, cash, and major credit cards. A 50% deposit may be required for multi-night holiday boarding.
5. Cancellation
- Standard bookings: Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance receive a full refund or rescheduling at no charge.
- Within 48 hours: 50% of the service fee may be retained.
- Holiday periods: Cancellations within 14 days of a confirmed holiday booking may forfeit the deposit.
6. Communication Consent (SMS, Calls & Email)
By checking the consent box on our contact form or otherwise providing your phone number to MilouPaw, you agree to receive recurring marketing and informational text messages, phone calls (which may be pre-recorded or autodialed), and emails about services, scheduling, and updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. 7. Liability
MilouPaw takes every reasonable precaution to keep your pet safe. Pet care does involve inherent risks (illness, injury from play, unexpected behavior). To the maximum extent allowed by law, MilouPaw is not liable for any injury, illness, escape, loss, or death of a pet that is not caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. You agree to provide accurate health and behavior information and to maintain pet insurance if desired.
8. Emergencies
In the event of a medical emergency, we will contact you immediately and transport your pet to your preferred vet or the nearest emergency clinic. You agree to be financially responsible for veterinary costs incurred during emergency care.
9. Photos & Media
We may take photos and short videos of your pet during stays and services for your enjoyment and for marketing on our website and social media. Let us know in writing if you prefer your pet's images not be used publicly.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Contra Costa County, CA.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and communicated to active customers.
